In the past, I have tried to get a casino host to cover the resort fees for me and have been told that they simply are not able to it. While I'm on comps, I'd like to say that I take issue with casinos - mostly Caesars properties - that give you a three-night complimentary stay, but then charge you $56 in resort fees. To me, that's one of the biggest draws of going to Tunica for a gambling trip - the easy comps. Later, at the casino, I was told that floor supervisors (not their fault) were no longer able to give out food comps to players after a playing session. And, seeing that this was late July, one would think that any pool issues would have been resolved by this point of the summer. I had checked the forecast for all three days of my stay, and it was supposed to be sunny the whole time, and I was really looking forward to catching some rays and relaxing by the pool.
Upon check-in, I was told the pool area was closed and had been all summer because of an issue they were having with it. I was a bit disappointed with Horseshoe this time around.
